— Evan Harris Walker

(1935, Franklin, AL, USA – 2006, Havre de Grace, MD, USA) studied physics at the University of Alabama (B.S. 1955 and M.S. 1956) and the University of Maryland (Ph.D. 1964). 1964–1967 assistant professor at the Institute of Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Miami. Since 1968 research scientist of the U.S. Army Ballistics Research Center. He founded the Walker Cancer Research Institute, a nonprofit organization based in Aberdeen, MD. 1981–2006 president of the Walker Cancer Research Institute.

(1935, Jerusalem, IL) studied mechanical engineering at the Technische Universität München, Munich. 1971/1972 worked on computer graphics at Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB). He is thought to live in Israel.

— Rolf Wedewer

(1932, Münster, DE) studied German literature, philosophy, geography, and art history at the University of Münster (1952–1957, Ph.D.). He worked as an independent art and theater critic for different newspapers. Later employed by the German broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk and the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. 1965–1995 director of Städtisches Museum Leverkusen Schloss Morsbroich. He lives in Leverkusen, DE.

(1940, Hohenelbe, DE) studied mathematics at the Technische Universität München, Munich. He worked for the computing department of Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) in Munich. 1971/1972 worked on computer graphics at MBB 1971 made a set of computer graphics in collaboration with Sylvia Roubaud. He lives in Bad Reichenhall, DE.

(1917, Pasadena, CA, USA – 1995, Los Angeles, CA, USA) studied at the Pomona College and Claremont University. 1937–1939 lived in Paris. 1957–1959 joined the Charles and Ray Eames Studio to work as a film specialist. 1960 founded Motion Graphics Inc. 1965–1969 IBM sponsorship to make computeranimated films. 1966 first artist to receive IBM artist-in-residence grant.

— Rolf Wölk

(1939, Vienna, AT) studied mathematics and physics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main (Ph.D.). From 1966 mathematician in the data processing and department of Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB). Primary working fields were applications in the area of physics and mathematical optimization occurring in the process of aircraft development, including graphical applications. 1970–1972 collaboration with Gerhard von Graevenitz. 1971/1972 worked on computer graphics at (MBB). He lives in Munich, DE.

— Marcel Wyss

(1930, Bern, CH) was trained as a graphic designer (1946–1950) and studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Bern. 1953 co-founded with Dieter Roth and Eugen Gomringer the magazine Spirale. Internationale Zeitschrift für junge Kunst, which existed until 1964. 1953 founding member of the Galerie 33 in Bern. As a graphic designer he also worked with Karl Gerstner for GGK (Gerstner, Gredinger + Kutter). Member of the group Allianz. He lives in Bern.
